Week 9

Grimm

This week I decided to get caught-up on Grimm, before the episodes were deleted off of Hulu.  Little did I know, that this was the final season of Grimm!   I was so bummed!  I just finished the final episode and I have to say that it had a good ending.  The makers of the show did leave an opening for the show to continue or to have a spin-off of sorts.  Without giving away the ending, I do have to say that I hate how certain aspects of the show left me hanging, so I hope there will be a spin-off or a reunion episode in the near future.  I’m so sad to see this show go. I was definitely one of my favorites.

Week 8

Designated Survivor

Since there wasn’t a new Grey’s Anatomy episode this week, I was able to catch up on Designated Survivor.  It’s a really great show that just began last fall. It is centered around the preface that terrorists blew up the Capitol building while all heads of state (including the president, vice president, cabinet, etc…) were in attendance.  The only survivor was “the designated survivor” who is played by Kiefer Sutherland, who was the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, so he automatically became the president when the bombing occurred.  FBI special agents are on the hunt for the terrorists who blew up the capitol.  It’s a really great show, even though it is hard to see Kiefer Sutherland playing a character other than Jack Bauer.  I highly recommend it if you are looking for a new show to watch.

Week 7

Grey's Anatomy

Woooohooo!  I have been waiting for an episode like this week’s episode!  Nathan and Meredith end up coincidentally being on the same flight to the same medical conference together.  The flight experiences extreme turbulence and there are major injuries as a result, however the best part was when Nathan was able to explain to Meredith that she has to let Derick go so she could move on.  The episode ends with Meredith agreeing in her “Meredith way.” I can’t wait for next week’s episode to see what happened between the two of them!

Week 6

Grey’s Anatomy

This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was good- Maggie is dealing with the grief of losing her mother and decides to take on an intricate and delicate surgical procedure to remove a heart tumor from a baby that is still inside her mother’s womb and basically just wanting to jump back into work to get her mind off of her mother’s passing.  And just when I think Meredith and Nathan are going to finally be able to have a date, Maggie finally breaks down about losing her mother Meredith ends up canceling the dinner.  I have to admit that it’s a little annoying that the timing seems to be getting in the way between Nathan and Meredith- I don’t know if the writers are trying to build-up or create a tension for the viewers, but all it is doing is annoying me for some reason.  Oh well, can’t wait for next week’s episode to see if they finally get to go out!

Week 5

Grey’s Anatomy

Last week’s episode where Jackson approached his father that he grew up not knowing was a really good episode. It gave more of an insight in Jackson’s character as well as that of his mother.  I have to say, for as much drama April can bring, I have to admit that I was glad to see her and Jackson come back together.

As to this week’s episode, I can only imagine what Maggie must feel.  She thought her mom, who had recently divorced her father, was interested in plastic surgery for the vanity of it all and to attract other suitors.  However, once she found out that her mother had breast cancer and needed the plastic surgery for reconstruction following her mastectomy, I’m sure the feeling of guilt for being so harsh with her mother was overwhelming.  On another note, I was thrilled when Meredith decided to give Nathan a shot and was willing to accept a dinner date with him. -I just hope it doesn’t further devastate Maggie, who is still in shock from learning that her mom is battling cancer.

Week 4

This Is Us

Wow!  I am still one week behind from being current and caught up on the show, and it just keeps getting better!  To begin, I was bummed that Kevin had to sacrifice getting rave reviews from the critic on the opening night of his play, because his brother needed him literally on opening night of his play.  -However, Ron Howard offering him the role in his movie, was even better!  Plus, he was able to win back his ex-wife.  I'm just curious if she will follow him back to LA when she is already so settled in New York.

Then you have Randall, who was able to forgive his mother and has stepped out of his box and quit his job, to actually slow down and enjoy life, like his biological father did.  The celebration of life for William was gut wrenching and I was glad to see his wife finally receive William's postcard goodbye.

Finally, you are left wondering how Jack died, especially after Kate said that she feels responsible for his death.  I wonder if it could be a drunk driving accident while he is on his way to make-up with his wife...I can't wait to find the time to watch the next episode!!!

Week 3

Grey's Anatomy

This week of Grey’s Anatomy was a pretty good episode.  I am hoping Meredith finally is willing to give in to pursuing Nathan even though Maggie is interested in him.  Also, I was proud of Jackson being willing to stand up to his mother when everyone else around him seemed to cave into the new residency training program.  -And finally, Amelia, “grew-up” to face Hunt after going on her little hideous- honestly, she was getting a little annoying to me.  I feel bad for Richard Webber, because his wife obviously, values business above family.

This week was filled with very little time to be lazy, so I can’t wait to see This Is Us.  I’ll definitely post about it next week!
